How to Grade Discussion Posts

Once you have created a discussion and have indicated that it will be graded, you will see the icon indicating so beneath the topic title.

 

1. To begin the grading process, select the dropdown menu beside the topic title and choose Assess Topic

 

2. Here you will find a list of all discussion contributions for that topic. Choose Topic Score beneath any student to begin grading.

 

3. Here you can see how many posts the student made, details on contributions, and to the right, you can leave an Overall Grade and leave Overall Feedback. You can also choose to Publish grades and feedback immediately or choose Save Draft and publish later.

Tip: Easily navigate to other students in your course using the forward arrow in the top right corner.
